FAQ’s

  Q. Why should I choose a Magnetic Knife Rack over other knife storage methods?

  A. If you care about hygiene, safety or space in your kitchen environment then there is no choice – it has to be a magnetic knife rack.

  Q. How is a knife rack more hygienic than a knife block?

  A. When was the last time you thoroughly cleaned inside the slots of a knife block – if ever? Who knows what germs lurk down these slots! By contrast a knife rack is easy to keep clean and hygienic, on a daily basis. Simply wipe it down with your normal cleaning agent like the rest of the preparation area, no special cleaning tools are required.

  Q. How is a knife rack safer than a knife block or storing knives in a draw?

  A. Have you ever searched through your kitchen drawer looking for the right knife only to cut your finger? With a knife rack you can see all the knives in front of you for easy and safe selection.

  Q. A magnetic rack is safer than keeping knives in a draw, but how is it safer than a knife block?

  A. Knife blocks are relatively easy for children to reach rather than a magnetic knife rack which is secured on the wall above the preparation area where only an adult can safely reach.

  Q. So magnetic knife racks are more hygienic and safer than other storage methods, but are there any other benefits that I should know about?

  A. Absolutely – apart from hygiene and safety, the fact that your knives are stored above the work surface allows you to maximise your preparation area and save space in your kitchen. Your knives are stored at eye level and within arms reach of the working area so it’s easy to select the correct blade for the job every time.

  Q. Therefore magnetic knife racks are the best method of storing and displaying knives, but why should you buy a Bisbell magnetic knife rack?

  A. Because Bisbell have 30 years of experience at designing and manufacturing magnetic knife racks. Each rack is ergonomically designed using the latest materials to a standard you just don’t find elsewhere. Each product is individually inspected and tested before it is passed for despatch.

We will stake our reputation on it, every knife rack carries a no quibble lifetime guarantee. If the product fails before you do – then we will replace it for nothing. How many manufacturers offer a guarantee like that?

  Q. What's the minimum order quantity?

  A. This is a trade only website for distributors and suppliers to housewares or buying groups in the sector - there is a trade price list and discount structure in place but for smaller quantities you may be better buying locally from one of our authorised distributors rather than buying directly yourself. We would be glad to recommend you to a local distributor or if you would like to become a distributor for our products then please email us directly.

  Q. I am not in the trade but would like one of your magnetic knife racks- where can I purchase one from?

  A. More than likely in your local cookshop or department store, around the knife section. Email us and we'll try and point you in the right direction - don't forget to check that it's one of ours otherwise you might be disappointed!

  Q. I have checked with my local stores but can't see one of your knife racks - can I buy one direct?

  A. Yes, if you can't find one locally then we will be happy to supply you one - please click on our buy-on line store and we will process the order as quickly as possible. You should be aware that because of the quality of these products they are relatively heavy and therefore quite expensive to ship. We do not seek to profit from the shipping cost and you will only be charged the actual cost of postage - unless you specify we will usually select the cheapest method of postage.

  Q. Does the product carry any kind of guarantee?

  A. Yes, if one of our knife racks fails in normal usage at any time we will happily replace the product for you - provided you return the product to us and on inspection it has not been maltreated in any way we'll replace it. How many companies are confident enough in the quality of their products to offer this?
